Project 3 - The Cyclical Nature of Thing - Final

Here a few of my iterations I created using Google Gemini and Adobe Photoshop. These images can be viewed as anything you can interpret it as. This mostly started because of the show I am watching, One Piece, and most specifically the Skypiea arc. I wanted to portray the rigning of the bess indicating victory and the end of war. 








These are the last images that I created. I included the bell to indicate life or death and the pathway one take. There are other paths but lead to nowhere and are more decorated with flowerrs than the main one. 


In the end, it is mostly what you decide what it means.

    I love all of them!!! I really like how you stick to using the bell for all the works, I bet you had such a nice prompt for gemini (im kinda jealous lol)

    I looove these visuals! It has a very ethereal and otherworldly feel. I also agree with Lou on consistently having the bell throughout all the pieces. Great job!

Project 1- Fantasy Appliance - Work in Progress

 I have had a bit of struggle trying to fill in my tracing with gradient so I still have to work on that.  So far, I have traced the main piece. I used the top of the lantern and handle from the pepper crusher into one. I plan on adding shadows of people in the small gaps towards the top.  My inspiration as soon as I put these two together was the book called "Tender is the flesh". To those who have read it, you know it definitely is a choice. The main point of the story is food scarcity and the desperate measures was cannibalism. The disconnection or empathy in the beginning was very impactful for me. So I want to make a piece inspired by that disconnection.  This image of the factory will probably be in some part of the image, towards the bottom. I also have in mind to add conveyer belts using the arms of the lanterns and manipulating them to the right angles. I will try to figure out the issue I am having with gradient and will post an updated image soon.

Project 1- Fantasy Appliance - Final

 Here is my final piece for the Fantasy Appliance Project. It is mostly for interpretation when seeing it but I was inspired by the book "Tender is the Flesh" by Agustina Bazterria. I wanted to implement the industrial feeling the beginning of the book where there was a disconnection between humans and those who are not considered human but flesh.

Project 2 - Destroy the Icon Project - Final

Here are a few iterations that I made and trying to decide what I wanted to do.  This is my final for the Destroy the Icon project that I want to chose to print out. The original photo was the V-J Day at times square photo or sometimes known as the Kissing Sailor photo. To find what other images I was going to incorporate this, I stuck to the WWll theme. I wanted to show how this pairs happiness is also mirrored by great loss from other nations. I added symbolic symbols of victories and losses and the great loss that the war caused. We can mainly see the silhouette of the original image but is meshed together with other images and is giving into the meaning of loss: such the nuclear symbol I added or stains of red. I added some of the previous iterations into this one. I had a lot of fun in this project since the only requirement was to destroy the image. So there was free reign for anything and I fell that I encompassed that in this image.
